Biography
Brenda Davie's ceramic practice probably dates from the 1960-1980s. In the 'Retrospect Ceramics 80' catalogue it states that she had already been working as a potter and a teacher for many years.
Brenda did quite a bit of volunteer work for the Potters Guild BC, she was on the Board in the mid 1970s-1980, assisting with sales at Hycroft, and assisting with the Retrospect 80 exhibition set up. While on the Board she worked with Ruth Meechan and Hanna Kristmanson.
To be noted, Brenda taught Judy Cranmer in the early 70s when Judy returned to ceramics, and they appear to have been friends, doing volunteer work together for the PGBC in the mid 70s.
