Julie York's work in her words ..." is situated within both art and design. In her current body of work, Julie explores the role of architecture and the perception of space through two and three-dimensional images and objects. These works connect space, surface, and form using a dialogue between materials, image, and object, and the built environment. The interplay between surface, form, image and object has a compounding reciprocal effect that disorients the normal relationship of plane and volume."
