Biography
Pat Taddy received the David Lambert Memorial Award from the Potters Build of BC in 1990 and the BC Telephone scholarship while studying at the Emily Carr College with Sally Michener and Tam Irving.
He received his BFA from NSCAD in 1993, and his MFA at Kansas University. His work was represented in the important exhibition Hot Clay, at the Surrey Art Gallery in 2004.
Pat is known for his intricate and beautifully slip-cast teapot compositions/constructions - with a nod to steampunk, perhaps owing something to his urban studio setting. He is also an admirer to of the Leach /Mingei traditions.
He works as the Senior Visual Arts Tech. at the Fraser Valley University. He is married to earthen ware ceramicist Jacqui Borlase.
