Biography
Linda Lewis came from the prairies, already trained in ceramics, and settled in Vancouver in the early 2000s. She began to work for the Potters Guild of BC, first working in the Gallery, and then assisting with computer issues and the PGBC website.
Jinny Whitehead launched a project to digitize (preserve) the PGBC newsletters and make them re- searchable. She applied for a grant from the UBC BC History Digitization Project. In 2011, Linda Lewis, Jinny Whitehead and Debra Sloan started to digitize and annotate the PGBC newsletters. A project that would not have been possible without Linda's computer skills. She came up with the moniker - ARCH-BC - for the site - 'Archival Record of Ceramic History in BC.' The site went up in 2013, and has become the go-to for researchers across Canada
