Biography
While Dodman's early training is currently unknown, she did attend a creative art workshop at Mills College, Oakland California in the summer of 1956.
From 1956 Dodman was a partner with Stan and Jean Clarke in Reagh Studios, Vancouver, and later also in White Rock.
She started exhibiting her work around 1956. Two years later, her stoneware, salt glazed vase was exhibited in the Canadian Pavilion at the Brussels World's Fair.
In 1959, she was involved in Creative Hands, an artist-run craft store in West Vancouver which sold work by some of Vancouver's leading potters and crafts people.
