Description

In the early 60s, Gardner studied with Leonard Osborne for about 4 years. In the mid 60s she did pottery-making demonstrations and sold work at the AGGV and the Hudson Bay Co.
In 1967 she opened Bastion Handcrafts, Victoria, BC where she sold a wide range of local craft. By 1971 she was selling items made by over 160 artists and craftspeople. Using teaching methods learned from Osborne, she also taught regularly in her studio located on the second floor of Bastion Handcrafts.
