Biography
Burchett was well-known for her clay sculptures of animals which were exhibited locally at the Island Arts and Crafts Society exhibitions in the 1940s and in Montreal (1943).
In the early 60s she sculpted figures of sockeye salmon which were cast in aluminum and installed at the entrance to the Alexandra Bridge over the Fraser River at Spuzzum, BC in 1963.
She also made dinnerware.
She was featured in "Pottery in Canada" (Canadian Geographical Journal, Feb, 1944)
