Biography
After 13 years teaching biology at the University of Alaska from 1959-72, Judy Weeden took courses with Al Johnson, at the University of California, and a workshop with Marguerite Wildenhain, and another 20 years of contact with Wildenhain’s disciple, Dean Schwartz. She worked, at first, in Alaska, involved in workshops and exhibitions and then moved to Saltspring Island in 1990. She was president of the Saltspring Island Pottery Guild, 1994-96, her work was in the Gallery of BC Ceramics. She continues to show her work in Saltspring, Circle Craft, and CraftHouse of the Craft council of BC. .
