Biography
Mary Osborne studied with Rex Mason and Carleton Ball at the UBC Ceramic Hut in the mid 50s. She and her husband Leonard established their first home-studio in West Vancouver.
In 1959, she ran Creative Hands, a cooperative shop located at 1483 Clyde in West Vancouver where she sold her pottery along with work by Leonard Osborne, Stan and Jean Clarke, Dorothy Dodman, and other local craft artists.
The Osbornes moved to Saanich (near Victoria) in 1960, establishing their studio where they also taught.
