Biography
Sue Hara studied ceramics in England before immigrating to Canada with then husband Robin Hopper, in 1968. They set up the Chosin Pottery in 1977. She was an original member of the collective FIRED UP, Contemporary Works in Clay (1984) and her work can be found in the 2009 FIRED UP catalogue. At some point in the early 1980s Sue and Robin divorced and she resumed her maiden name, Hara.
She is known for her fine porcelain throwing, and delicate hand modelling. and her work was represented in the 2012 Back to the Land, Exhibition. at the AGGV
