Biography
Matthew Freed first took pottery classes in Winnipeg in the early 1990s . After a hiatus in Montreal, he moved to Vancouver, and in 1998 resumed his interest in pottery.
When he arrived, he first worked at the West-End Pottery Club, and he became an active volunteer at the Potters Guild of BC. Matthew sold through the Gallery of BC Ceramics and now sells through Circle craft Co-op. Matthew is largely self-taught and makes his living making a line of functional ware he calls every day pots.
