Biography
Winnipeg born Heather Dahl attained her BFA at ECUAD in 2001. She established her studio, Dahlhaus, in the Mergatroid Building, in Vancouver, in 2007. By 2018 she moved her family to Yarrow, BC, while maintaining her city studio.
Heather draws inspiration from mid-century modern and Scandinavian design. Her elegantly designed work has been marketed through museum gift shops and large retailers including Anthropologie, West Elm and Nordstrom, and has appeared in exhibitions across Canada and the United States and been showcased in numerous design and lifestyle magazines including Bon Appétit, Canadian House & Home, InStyle and Studio Magazine. Heather also sold through the Gallery of BC Ceramics. In 2018 she gave a talk about her career for the NWCF Speaker Series. Post- pandemic she is concentrating more on one of a kind collections.
