Biography
Robert Bush became interested in ceramics in high school He graduated from the Fine Arts programme in Douglas College in 1977 and in 1980 from Vancouver School of Art, teacher, Tam Irving. Robert and fellow student, Darrell Hancoc, established Mainstream Pottery. Later Rob established his pottery in Port Coquitlam, and has sold throughout BC, including the Gallery of BC Ceramics and Circle Craft Co-Op.
He taught at Place des Arts for many years. In 2005 he moved to Mission and set up the Robert Bush Pottery . Rob has been creating some exceptional crystalline glazes.
Rpbert’s practice is another example of ‘Village Potter' mainly serving his community., making excellent functional work throughout a life time of work.
