Biography
Suzu Speier, born in California came up to BC and attended th Vancouver School of Art 1971-73. She taught at Peg's Place Pottery School, 1973-79. During the 1970s Suzu, along with Larry Cohen and Lisi (Elise) Siegel set up the Kitsilano Pottery Studio. Lary and Suzu. moved to Cortes, and set up a studio with 2 gas kilns, dates unknown. Suzu speaks of being sensitive to the material, making practical pottery for cooking, and hand building to explore the material. She and Larry are both represented in the 1977," A Catalogue of British Columbian Potters", by Bob Kingsmill
