Biography
Tanis Saxby is an international sculptor that lives and works in Vancouver, Canada. She is represented by Ivy Brown Gallery in New York, has exhibited both nationally and internationally and currently ships and sells her work world wide. She began her career as an apprentice before studying at the University of Victoria, Focal Point Photography school and Kootenay School of the Arts. She works almost exclusively in porcelain, making ethereal polished sculptural forms. Tanis has received a number of awards including a BC Arts Council grant, an Icelandic scholarship, and she was selected for a funded residency at Vallauris in France. She was also on the International Olympic Committe trophy shortlist.
