Biography

Marta Robertson-Smyth was a skilled multi-media artist, and an educator. She organized art classes and projects for teachers on Pro-D days, and taught extensively to all ages in her studio. She was a childrens art specialist and taught for Arts Umbrella. Her work in galleries or as public art has been exhibited across Canada. Marta attended clay sculpture classes with Debra Sloan in the late 1990s. She was a passionate student of Flamenco dancing. She became very involved in Climate Justice, even arrested during the TransCanada Pipe line protests.
