Biography
Darlene Nairne has been active in the ceramic community since the 1970s, when she first became a volunteer for the PGBC and contributed to the PGBC newsletter. She had studied Psychology at UBC then took ceramics at Langara College (Don Hutchinson) graduating in 1995 with an award for ceramics. She then attended ECCAD. She attended a residency at Medalta in 2010, and then the Pottery Workshop at Jingdezhen in 2015.
Darlene has been the ceramics technician at ECUAD for some years, and also teaches at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts. She has been a member of the collective, Kingsmill Pottery Studio, exhibited in the Gallery of BC Ceramics, at ECUAD, and at the Shadbolt.
